Skallingen and Langli - the most northern island in the Wadden Sea
The peninsula Skallingen covers 2,000 hectares of unique nature and is part of the Wadden Sea National Park. To the west are the dunes, offering protection against the North Sea. To the east are large and flat meadows, stretching towards Ho Bay and the Wadden Sea.

You can go for a walk along the stream Nymindestrømmen and experience a grand landscape with very distinct botany.

Brejning Egekrat
When walking in the oak forest Brejning Egekrat west of Videbæk, you can enjoy beautiful and characteristic nature.

Blåvandshuk
A visit at the most western point in Denmark, Blåvands Huk is an adventure. Here the huge lighthouse ads its very special character to the area.

The coast from Nymindegab to Blåvands Huk - 'Atlantvolden'
On this coastal stretch, you can see some of the most impressive dune landscapes in Denmark.

Ringkøbing Fjord
Ringkøbing Fjord with 300 square metres is the largest lake in West Jutland. Ringkøbing Fjord is surrounded by tidal meadows.

Skjern Å
Experience Skjern Å, the beautiful and famous nature area in West Denmark. Skjern Å is Denmark’s most watery stream and spans over 94 km.

Skjern Enge
Skjern Enge is a 2,200 hectares large nature area dominated by meadows, wetlands and lakes as well as the rivers Skjern Å, Omme Å and Gundesbøl Å.

In Ølgod, you have access to 75 hectares of forest right on the edge of town—hence the name Ølgod Byskov [Town Forest]. The exciting plantation originated in 1882, exclusively with mountain pine.

In Ølgod, a lovely route of 9 kilometres has been built around the city. The path is in good condition and most of it is paved with asphalt, the rest with gravel and stone dust.

Guldsmedesøen [Dragonfly Lake] got his name in 2018 – when a rare dragonfly.

The area by Letbæk
The recreational nature area offers wheelchair users an accessible packed lunch house with room for 30 – in addition to a children’s table for 6.

Larsen's Forest
The 4,000-square-metre forest has a wealth of hiding places that invite play and 'getting lost' because of its labyrinth-like path system.

Nysø
Nysø is a lake close to Varde, situated in beautiful nature. A part of the lake can be used for swimming but pay attention to the information signs at the lake.

Pølmose is a peat bog and until the 1960s peat was dug in the marsh.
